ANNE-MARIE CUSSON (Mrs. Van Daan) This is Cusson’s first appearance at VSC. Recent roles include, Catherine Petkoff in Arms and The Man (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey); Lane in The Clean House (Geva Theatre); Wasserstein’s Third (Riverside Theatre); Romeo & Juliet (Alabama Shakespeare Fesival); The Count Of Monte Cristo and Cymbeline. National Tour: Steel Magnolias Regional: Enchanted April; Present Laughter; A Mood for the Misbegotten. In New York, she appeared opposite Richard Easton in The Mint Theatre’s Echoes of the War. Other credits include Arthur Schnitzler’s Far and Wide, and Craig Lucas’ one-woman piece Your Call is Important (Circle East). Anne-Marie is a native of New Hampshire and a proud member of Actors’ Equity and regularly takes part in new play readings.

Other credits include, Queen Elizabeth/Hitler/Reagan/Nixon in the world premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play, directed by Molly Smith for Washington DC's Arena Stage and the world premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Mauritius, directed by Rebecca Taichman for Boston's Huntington Theater. David is a longtime associate artist at Baltimore’s Center Stage, and appeared in David Sedaris’s The Santaland Diaries directed by Irene Lewis.
Patrick Marlette(Peter Van Daan) is a young actor making his VSC stage debut. He studies theatre performance regionally as a BFA student attending Old Dominion University under the direction of Chris Hanna. Acting credits include principle roles in The Serpent; The Odd Couple (female version); The Laramie Project; The Wizard of Oz; Dracula and Fragments. Beyond any expressible means, Patrick is honored to be a part of the production and cast of The Diary of Anne Frank. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support, and Chris Hanna for this wonderful opportunity.

RON NEWMAN(Mr. Kraler) is the Director of Fine Arts at Norfolk Academy where he has been a proud member of the faculty and administrative team for the past 24 years. During his tenure at the Academy he has taught drama, musical theater, directing, and film studies. Prior to his move to Hampton Roads he taught and directed at many theaters on the East coast including the National Theater in D.C. and the Milburn Stone Memorial Covered Bridge Theater, where he was a founding member. He has written, produced, and directed over 100 stage productions. Regional tours include, Marlo Thomas’ Free To Be….You and Me; The Sound of Music; The Music Man; Oliver; and Show Boat (Portfolio Winner). He is proud to be making his debut performance with the Virginia Stage Company and with such a dedicated and talented group of professionals and artists.

Amelia graduated from the Juilliard School this spring and was the recipient of the Laura Pels Award in Drama.
