Outreach
On January 26, 2008, Virginia Stage Company partnered with Norfolk State University for a day-long tribute to the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson, author of the ten-play Century Cycle, depicting each decade of African American history in the 20th century. This day of FREE lectures and discussions at the Wells Theatre began at 8:30 AM and continued until the 4:00 PM performance of Wilson’s The Piano Lesson.
