Dear Educators and Parents: Virginia Stage Company's 2010-11 Season is sure to excite the imagination of all who attend. The Education and Outreach Department offers Student Matinees, Touring Performances and Workshops that will engage students and enrich the learning experience for all ages. Join us for Student Matinees of The Diary of Anne Frank, A Christmas Carol, SCKBSTD; A New Musical by Bruce Hornsby, and Radio Golf. For a special matinee price, students and teachers can attend mainstage productions with educational benefits. Each show has curriculum connections and offers a unique opportunity to integrate the arts into an instructor's lesson planning and individual teaching style. Study Guides have been developed to assist the classroom teacher achieve state standards. Talk-back sessions following the matinee performance will engage students and heighten their theatre experience. Virginia Stage Company is proud to announce touring production of Mystery Sideshow-History's Mysteries Revealed. This allows Virginia Stage Company to bring a unique theatre experience directly to you. We can also bring to you our In-School Workshops. The Education and Outreach Department will custom design a workshop or workshop series to help you achieve your curriculum goals. There are also Job Shadow and Senior Project opportunities for students interested in learning more about the operations of a professional regional theatre.
